The 22nd Annual Mission to Mission Charity Bike Tour, 2020, has gone VIRTUAL!
Mission to Mission Bike Tour is a family and individual event providing participants four levels of biking activities: a Family Bike 12-15 Mile Tour, a Performance 30+/- mile tour, an Endurance 50 +/- Mile Tour, and a 60+ Mile Metric Century Tour.
The Family Tour shadows the San Antonio River to recreate the historic missions' trails that linked the Spanish Colonial Missions -- Concepcion, San Jose, San Juan, and Espada. The Family Tour (12 to 15 mile) bike route meets BSA merit badge requirements. Family riders will tour in small groups utilizing the dedicated bike lanes and hike/bike paths. Thanks to San Antonio River Authority, City of San Antonio, Bexar County, and the National Park Service for helping coordinate the route and activities for Mission to Mission. The PERFORMANCE TOURS reach beyond the missions' trails along city and county roads toward Braunig Lake and beyond. The tour route traverses primarily flat topography providing contrasting rural and urban landscapes. Tour maps, GPS routes, chalked direction indicators, signs, identified breakpoints, and manned key intersections instruct riders through the rural stretches. Weather conditions over the past Tour years have ranged from sublime to dangerous. Participating Bicycle ShopsParticipating Bicycle Clubs/TeamsArgo Group
